Friends of Hope Cultural Center is a community-based, non-profit organization founded in 2007 in Tororo, Uganda, with a mission of transforming society through the provision of hope. We empower vulnerable children, youth, and families through education, skills development, cultural preservation, financial inclusion, and community support programs.
What began as a response to the challenges facing vulnerable communities in Eastern Uganda has grown into a movement that serves orphaned children, youth, families affected by HIV/AIDS, and individuals seeking opportunities for a better future. Through Ma’s Junior School, the Friends of Hope Cultural Centre, community outreach initiatives, and the Osukuru Savings and Credit Union, we continue to create pathways for education, empowerment, and sustainable development.
Today, we remain committed to inspiring hope, preserving culture, developing talent, and building resilient communities across Uganda through partnership, compassion, and service.
Friends of Hope Uganda empowers communities through education, culture, environmental stewardship, and community development creating opportunities that transform lives and preserve hope for future generations.

Giving children and youth the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities they need to build brighter futures.

Using music, dance, and drama to preserve heritage while helping young people discover their gifts.

Supporting healthier and more resilient communities through HIV/AIDS awareness, counseling, family support, and programs that improve physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Promoting environmental awareness and community action that protects people and the planet.

We support gender equality by offering education, protection, and leadership opportunities to women and girls.

We invest in infrastructure, local leadership, and long-term development projects that strengthen communities from within.
